This project earned the approval of the Mayor of Yerevan and was included by the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the 2023 program for the 100th anniversary of the Cinema House.
The goal is to transform an area of about 316 m² next to the entrance of the Union of Cinematographers in the city center into an open-air art platform and a park for cinema artists, for film festivals and cultural events.
The main entrance from Khanjyan Street is an inclusive ramp, with a "Red Carpet" outlined on its floor leading to the building. The 60 cm difference in elevation gives the whole area a 2° slope. The parking of the residential building is on the lower basement level.
To the left of the carpet is a semicircular stage with a 2° slope, surrounded by a filmstrip installation of illustrations, photographs and video. Benches for the audience are placed to the right. By preliminary agreement, the parking spaces along Vardanants and Aram streets were to be replaced by sidewalks, green zones and trees.
The further implementation of the project was suspended, and the works were discontinued without any justification or official explanation.
